Automatic Powder Booth
For production lines: continuous flow with automatic recovery
The Automatic Powder Booth is an enclosed spray cabin built for continuous, high-volume coating where parts move through on a conveyor and guns fire without a manual operator. It sits at the core of an automated or semi-automated finishing line, handling the bulk of your throughput while keeping overspray contained and recoverable. If your production has moved past single-piece manual spraying and you need consistent coverage on a steady part flow, this is the booth that anchors that capacity.
Powder recovery and reuse
Overspray is unavoidable in any electrostatic application: a portion of the charged powder cloud never lands on the part. This booth captures that powder through a recovery system configured as either a cyclone or a chamber, returning reclaimed material so it can be sieved and fed back into production. Powder reuse runs up to 98%, which directly lowers material cost per part and reduces waste sent to disposal. For procurement engineers costing a line, recovery at this level is often the single largest operating-cost lever after labor, because powder is consumed continuously across every shift.
Filtration and automatic cleaning
The booth runs 3 to 10 filter cartridges depending on the configuration and the airflow volume your part mix demands. More cartridges mean more filter surface area, which supports higher extraction rates and longer intervals between maintenance on high-output cabins. Cleaning is automatic, so the system pulses the cartridges clean on its own schedule rather than relying on a technician to stop the line and service them by hand. That keeps suction stable through a production run and removes a recurring manual task from your operators.
Construction and color change
The cabin is available in steel or plastic, letting you match the build to your environment and color-change strategy. The booth supports fast color change, so operations running more than one finish can switch without the long downtime that contaminated surfaces would otherwise force. Containing overspray inside a defined cabin also keeps the surrounding plant cleaner and protects adjacent equipment from powder drift.
Gun and conveyor compatibility
Guns are reciprocator-mounted, sweeping vertically across the part as it passes so coverage stays even across the full height of the work. A rail conveyor carries the parts through the booth and is suited to heavy or oversized work that an overhead hook system would struggle to handle. The booth is built for continuous part flow, which means the conveyor speed, gun output, and recovery capacity are intended to work together at production pace rather than in stop-start batches. This pairing of reciprocator guns with a rail conveyor is what makes the cabin practical for large structural or bulky components.
Where it fits in your line
In a full finishing line, the Automatic Powder Booth follows the pretreatment and drying stages, where parts are cleaned and prepared for the coating to adhere properly. The reclaimed powder from its recovery system feeds a powder center where it is sieved and blended with virgin material before returning to the guns. After coating, parts continue on the same conveyor into a curing oven, where the powder is cross-linked at temperatures typically in the 180 to 200 C range to form a durable finish. Pair this booth with automatic or PLC-controlled spray guns to complete the application stage, and size your oven and conveyor speed to match the booth throughput so no single stage becomes the bottleneck.
