Digital Spray Gun
Digital precision for consistent, repeatable coating results
The Digital Spray Gun is an electrostatic powder gun with digital control over its charging parameters, built for operators who need repeatable results rather than feel-based adjustment. It gives precise, settable control of voltage and current, making it a strong choice for shops that coat to a quality standard and want the same finish reproduced from one operator and one shift to the next. If your work demands consistency that analog dials cannot guarantee, but you still want a hand-held gun, this is the model that brings digital precision to manual spraying.
Digital kV and current control
The gun offers digital control of voltage, adjustable across 0 to 100 kV, along with current (uA) control. Digital setting of these values means an operator can dial in exact parameters and return to them precisely, rather than approximating a position on an analog knob. Controlling both kV and uA matters because they govern how the powder is charged and how it behaves as it deposits: holding them to set values is what makes the result repeatable across operators and shifts. For a shop coating to a specification, this repeatability is the gun's central advantage.
Transfer efficiency
The gun achieves transfer efficiency of up to 85%, meaning a high proportion of the sprayed powder lands on and stays on the part rather than becoming overspray. Higher transfer efficiency has two direct benefits: it cuts the amount of powder that has to be reclaimed and recycled, and it speeds up coating because more powder adheres per pass. For procurement, transfer efficiency is a running-cost figure, since powder that lands on the part is powder you do not have to recover, sieve, and refeed.
Nozzles and powder feed
The gun accepts flat and round nozzles, letting the operator match the spray pattern to the part: a flat nozzle spreads powder in a fan for broad surfaces, while a round nozzle concentrates it for recesses and detail. Powder feed is by injector or pump, and the gun supports a dense phase pump option. Dense phase feed moves powder in a denser, lower-velocity stream with less air, which can improve charging and reduce wear compared with high-velocity venturi feed. Having both nozzle shapes and both feed options lets a shop tune the gun to the work rather than accept a single fixed configuration.
Ergonomics for manual use
The gun is built to be ergonomic, which matters in a manual setting where an operator holds and triggers it through a full shift. A gun that is comfortable to hold and balance reduces fatigue, and a less-fatigued operator sprays more consistently, which supports the repeatability the digital control is there to deliver. As covered in our guide on corona versus tribo powder guns, the charging method and the operator's control over it together shape the result; this gun puts that control in a digital, hand-held form.
Where it fits in your line
The Digital Spray Gun is a manual or semi-automatic application tool that pairs with a powder booth sized for hand spraying, where overspray is captured and the operator can see the work. Parts should arrive cleaned and pretreated so the charged powder adheres and cures correctly. After coating, parts move to a curing oven where the powder cross-links at the usual 180 to 200 C range. Because the gun shares nozzles and hoses with the Analog and Touchscreen models, a shop can run a mixed fleet on common consumables, placing the digital gun where repeatable, specification-grade results are needed and matching its up-to-85% transfer efficiency against the powder reuse rate of the booth it feeds.
